Gill Di Stefano holds audiences spellbound. All age groups have felt the power of this experienced storyteller and Gill finds performing for a diverse range of groups rewarding. She keeps coming back however to adolescents - with mutual delight.

A previous president of the Storytelling Guild of Victoria, Gill has been telling tales for over twelve years as teacher, professional storyteller and expert workshop facilitator. Gill’s Professional Development workshops and group sessions with adolescents are unsurpassed. Her experience and knowledge shines in her telling.

Gill combines the skills of an experienced high school English and Drama teacher with a deep understanding of stories and the oral tradition, to take students on a journey of discovery.  Sessions combine participatory activity with periods of deep listening and concentration, often to the amazement of the students' classroom teachers!

Where?

Gill will travel throughout the Melbourne Metropolitan area.

Testimonials

Thank you for letting us know about Gill Di Stefano, the superb storyteller. My students thoroughly enjoyed her repertoire of stories. Gill was absolutely inspiring. We highly recommend her to all secondary schools. We had a fantastic Literacy Week.

Intha Chetty, Bentleigh Secondary College

Gill Di Stefano is a wonderful storyteller. She proved an inspiration for both staff and students when she visited our school. Students sat in rapt attention as she told tales both old and new.  Katriona Fahey, Librarian, Northcote High School

Both staff and students commented on what a wonderful storyteller Gill is: both her selection of stories and presentation of them.  The students were indeed “spellbound”.  Georgie Cripps, St Roch’s Primary School
